DIOCESAN PILGRIMAGE TO LANCASHIRE SHRINE OF OUR LADY
AT LADYWELL.
 
will take place on Saturday 4th September
 beginning with Mass at St Mary's Church
followed by the Eucharistic Procession
praying the Rosary to the shine,
Quiet prayer, Exposition of the Blessed Sacrement
and Benediction. 
Refreshments will be served at 4pm and we depart at 4.30pm.
 
RIGHT TO LIFE
 
are holding a sonsored walk across Morcambe Bay
on Saturday 4th September
starting at 1.45pm and lasting for 3 hours. 
Sponsorship forms and details are in the porch.
 
37th ANNUAL ROSARY CRUSADE
 
In Platt Fields, Manchester between 2.30 and 4.30pm
on Saturday 11th September
with a special theme of
 'Peace and Reconciliation that they all be one' 
Guest speaker organised by The Legion of Mary.
 
 

 
DIOCESAN DEPARTMENT OF EVANGELISATION

offer an 8 week course in Burnley
starting on Wednesday 22nd September. 
The course is designed to build interfaith skills
in DIVERSITY,
VALUING DIFFERENCE
& BUILDING COMMUNITIES.

CATHOLIC FAMILY CARE
 
formerly The Needlework Guild
carried out for many years by Pauline Ogden. 
This is now being carried on by Carol Traynor
 
  
CORNERSTONE DAY CENTRE
 
is the Diocesan Charity run from Denmark Road
for the poor of Central Manchester. 
They feed 140 clients every day
and need £160,000 a year to run it. 
They are asking for donations
either of money or goods.
Details of the kind of things we could donate
are on the porch notice board.

Our very own CWL are inviting us to make Cornerstone
(the Diocesan Charity which caters daily
for the homeless & hungry)
our regular Parish Charity.
 
There is a blue box in the porch in which you can place items of food, clothing,
TOILET ROLLS, toothpaste, etc.
Volunteers to help with delivery are also needed.

 
CATHOLIC UNATTACHED DIRECTORY
 
This is a way for practicing Catholics to meet like minded people 
for friendship ( and even Marriage). 
There are about 3,000 members 
and over 400 marriages have resulted.

There are no meetings,
just a gift of a donation or a new garment
once a year.
